Please note: This project is dead and this page only exists for historical reasons. Since GNOME 3 removed the concept of panel applets from the GNOME desktop environment, it will not work at all with it.
pyoooqs stands for Python OpenOffice.org Quickstarter. As the name suggests, it tries to be a quickstarter for the OpenOffice.org productivity suite i.e. it maintains OpenOffice.org in memory so OpenOffice.org starts faster when the user tries to open it.
It was written for the GNOME Desktop and worked as a GNOME Panel applet.
Like any other GNOME applet, it added an entry to the "Add to Panel" dialog and, when added to the panel, sit as a clickable icon on the GNOME panel, as shown in the screenshots below.
