What data do we collect?

We collect as little user information as possible to allow this humble, personal site to function.

Data use

We do not share personal information with third-parties nor do we store information we collect about your visit to this blog for use other than to analyze content performance through the use of cookies, which you can turn off at any time by modifying your Internet browser's settings.

Any data that we do have will will never be shared except under the circumstances described below in our Data disclosure policy, with the exception of:

• Spam Filtering: In order to protect visitors from unwanted spam content, all comments may be automatically scanned for spam in order to block IPs and ban visitors. We use the service of Akismet to automatically filter spam comments. Please read their privacy policy to better understand how they process this information.
• Analytics: we do use Google Analytics to track performance of the site. We use the Hugo static site generator and enable IP anonymization and try to respect the Do Not Track browser setting, as described in the privacy settings page.

Data storage: location

We use the services of Heroku to host and store the dynamic components of this site in the United States.

Modifications to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to periodically review and change this policy from time to time. Continued use of the service will be deemed as acceptance of such changes.
